5 things to make happen this weekend to stay on track with your health in no particular order….
#1 – Stay healthy daily – If you’re changing your lifestyle, it’s really hard to stay on track always doing 5 days on and 2 days off. Instead, make little changes that you can keep up 7 days a week, replace some of your favorite high cal / high fat foods with healthy alternatives and celebrate the weekend with activity. If you decide to have something not so healthy, make it a conscious choice after thinking it over and if you decided that yes, you still want it…do so guilt free ! Guilt and the residual effects ruin more journeys than food !!

#3 – Do something that makes you happy like spending time with people you love, reading a favorite book, having a nice bubble bath, going on a hike, fishing, biking… try to feel 10 again. It’s important to look forward to life, so make plans that excite you, that keep you moving forward with a skip in your step !
#4 – Take a few moments to celebrate all the non scale victories of your week. The scale in just one measure of success and often not the most important. Did you make some improvements this week with your eating, did you move a little more, do your clothes fit better, could you walk a minute longer, did you drink more water – MOST importantly, do you feel better about yourself….CELEBRATE all your accomplishments and take a moment each week to acknowledge them.
#5 – Save some time for gratitude – Often we so clearly see all the things we don’t have that we wish we had, instead let’s take a moment to be thankful for all we do have and remember somewhere in the world, what you have is what others pray for .
