To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

If you don’t take away anything else from what I have to share daily on my social media pages, please know this – YOU ARE WORTH IT…. You are worth having and enjoying all the beauty there is to behold in this world, you are worthy of living your best life, worthy of love and laughter. YOU, are worthy of the HARD WORK, DEDICATION & DETERMINATION it will take to reach all your goals in life !

We can be the nicest person in the world to others but if deep down inside, we do not love ourselves, there will always be inner conflict. It doesn’t need to be this way and all people can make a choice in this moment to begin the wheels of change towards self love.

Step #1 – Acknowledge that you are worthy of self love and that loving yourself will also allow you to better love others ! I’ll repeat that….loving yourself, allows you to better love others !

True story:  Growing up I loved singing, I dreamed of growing up and becoming a famous singer, I spent hours practicing. I had entered many contests, some I won, some I lost – when I was a young teen, I entered a song writing / singing competition where you had to write a song on the importance of staying in school, I was so excited to win first place. I won a Packard Bell desk top computer, this is when barely anyone had a computer and it was a big deal, for the longest time I didn’t even have internet, I just used it for word pad, paint and the games that came with it lol Anyhow, when I went to high school and had to start auditioning to be in choirs, I realized there were a lot of really amazing singers ( as a side note, I still got in the choirs ) but seeing so many amazing singers who I felt blew me out of the water, made me stop reaching, slowly, I began to sing less and when the weight kept going up, I hit a place where I barely sang at all. I still remember the feeling of regret I felt in grade 12 when I didn’t audition for the school musical #1 because I felt why bother with so many better voices and #2  having put on weight, I would never get the lead female role ( is what I told myself and I guess I’ll never know )  If everyone did this, there would be no singers, no music because we will always look and see someone who we feel is better. What I didn’t realize at such a young age and not so young age, is that in a world with so many people, there is a place for everyone and I may not be able to reach thousands with my talent  but I can reach some ( this goes for all talents ) EVERY person has one to share..If you have been holding off doing ( sharing ) something you love simply because you question how good you are or feel you’re not the best in the world so why bother, I challenge you to think that choice over and start to share because you can never know how your talent will change the world  !!BE YOURSELF….SHARE & YOURSELF  IN A  WORLD THAT IS CONSTANTLY TRYING TO MAKE YOU SOMETHING ELSE  AND CONSTANTLY TELLING YOU, YOU AREN’T GOOD ENOUGH !

Here are a couple videos of me singing with my husband playing guitar once I started to change my life…I’m not the best and that’s ok with me !!

Love to all <3 Sara Bown
