If you’re not going to put your whole heart into it, why make any effort at all ?
It’s like taking hours ( days ) to create a garden space, you work the soil, find the things you want to plant, plant them, water them and realize you didn’t take into account that everything planted, needed full sun and you have everything set in the shade. Plants need…earth, water & sun so even if you spend ages with the 2 out of 3 things, in the end, it won’t matter. We are the same, so often, we will put tons of work into one area of our life but not even bother with other important areas. An example would be hours at the gym, like really bringing your workout game but leaving the gym and eating completely bad foods & drinking no water. Maybe you make changes with activity & food, even see results but still feel a void inside or like the changes you’re seeing aren’t making you feel good like you wanted. It’s like you felt that smaller clothes would mean inner happiness and you find out, that’s not the case at all. The inside work in my opinion, IS the most important work of all and building a strong foundation is the glue that keeps your journey in place. We need to realize that fitting in smaller clothes doesn’t (( fix )) someone feeling no self love, respect or belief ?!? If you have a goal to live your most healthy year yet, I ask you to please take the time to build the needed foundation where finding a way to love who you are NOW this very moment, just the way you are is a priority. Like a plants, we need certain things to grow so if you want this year to be THE year, take all the time needed to do it right so this can be your new life journey moving forward. Something really important for people who truly have no self love, respect or belief to understand is that, having to work on these things is not some whimsical wish of positive thinking – it takes hard work to break down and shut out all the negative self talk you’ve allowed in over the years.
